I’ve always got a few books on the go. I love the Lake District so Wild Fell and 36 Islands are on my bedside table. But I’ve got to finish A Little Life first, it may take a while!

I’m currently reading this, by Ruby Wax. A review of positive developments and progress around the world in fields such as education, tech, commerce etc.
I read this recently. It has hiking routes but also general ‘guide to Montenegro and language’ info. We used it to plan our recent holiday, before planning a route on Xpedition2 and navigating on Xplorer.

It’s a detailed account of the transformation of Manchester from the post-industrial wasteland it had become by the end of the 1970s to the modern metropolis full of tower cranes that it is now. Andy seems to know everybody involved in this transformation, and attributes much of the city’s success to cultural factors.
