Q&A: Choose the right plan for you

How can I pay?

The quickest and simplest way to pay for your subscription is via AUTO RENEW. By selecting autorenew, you make a one time arrangement via Paypal to pay for your subscription today, and automatically each year, until you choose to cancel. To sign up for one year without autorenewal, you may pay via your Paypal account. Paypal also take payments from those who choose not to have an account with them.

Can I pay monthly?

To reduce our costs, and retain more of your subscription fee for support and development of our service, we offer a choice of autorenew or annual subscription.

What’s the difference between free and paid subscriptions?

Whilst planning in Xpedition2, paid subscribers have access to a range of additional global and national maps, additional advanced planning tools and sharing to Garmin Connect. Meanwhile, on the Xplorer GPS app, Premium subscribers have inclusive access to OS maps and all paid subscribers have the option to purchase additional maps of different countries or providers to download and navigate with confidence.

What’s special about Premium subscription?

In addition to all the benefits of Standard subscription, a year’s subscription to Ordnance Survey maps (1:10k and 1:25k) on the Xplorer app is included. You can install and uninstall any of these maps as you require them, to navigate offline.

How many people do I need in my group to get a discount?

If you have a group, club, family of gang of friends with six or more people who enjoy exploring the outdoors, then you can apply.

How do I get a group discount?

Click the ‘Request a Group Discount’ button, tell us about your group, and we’ll get back to you with a unique code to share with your group. You might use email, Facebook, WhatsApp – whatever works for you. All each of you needs to do is Register for a Standard or Premium subscription, and input your discount code to receive 10% off the annual price of a subscription.

Which map providers can I access to plan my route on go.Xpedition2.com?

At the planning stage, Xpedition2 gives a choice of our exclusive global topographic Adventure map, or worldwide OpenStreet to all users, including free subscribers. Standard and Premium subscribers also have access to: Great Britain Ordnance Survey (1:250k, 50k, 15k), Ireland and OSNI, France, Belgium, Spain IGN, Austria BEV, Swiss Topo, Germany BKG, German and Austrian Alpine Club DAV, Italy Kompass, Netherlands Kandaster, South Africa RD&LR, New Zealand, Worldwide (OpenCycle map, Outdoors, Aerial and Road)

Which map providers can I access on the Xplorer GPS mobile app?

All users of Xplorer have the option to install global base maps (World 1:10m, OS 1:250k, OS Mini-scale and OS Height data). Premium subscribers have access to OS maps on the Subscriptions tab in My Maps on the app. Standard and Premium subscribers have the additional option to purchase global or national maps from a wide range of providers. Does the subscription automatically renew and take a further payment?

There is an option to select autorenew at sign up and have peace of mind that your routes and maps will always be there when you need them – with the bonus of an additional month’s subscription for free. You have the option to cancel your auto renew contract, or sign up on an annual basis.
